The Cielo X1 2.0 is HOKA's answer to the international marathon-racing field, and the second generation is a substantial rework — a lighter, more breathable jacquard mesh upper drops real weight, and the winged carbon plate between two PEBA foam layers moved its cutout to the medial side for a snappier, more stable ride at speed. It is the sharpest, most aggressive shoe HOKA makes.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb’s width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.
